Most customers have the same reasons for getting their company online, however, each website will have varying requirements when it comes to their website. At uPlugged, we aim to provide a clear pricing structure for our services and, where possible, avoid technical jargon.

On our prices page, we provide a range of packages for customers to choose from. If none of the packages meet your requirements, we would be happy to provide you with a quote. Quotes are provided completely free of charge and you are never under any obligation to buy.

Custom quotes are based on the same rates as our packages. There are no additional fees to pay with custom quotes and the service provided is the same. We clearly publish all of our fees relating to our design service and do everything we can to make our pricing structure as clear as possible. We always openly invite customers to contact us regarding any quote provided for an informal chat – we’ll even pay for the call!*

Quotes are not fixed once produced and you are more than welcome to change your requirements to suit your budget; whether this means you have additional pages and content or less. We can even build your website over time, allowing you to spread the cost.

I have not yet registered my domain name. How much will it cost?

I already own a domain name. Can I transfer it to you?

Yes. If you like help transferring your domain to our us, please contact us. Most of our customers have successfully transferred their domain name to us within 24 hours. You can transfer as many domain names as you need.

To help you get started, we will transfer all of your .co.uk domains and cover your first years registration costs meaning you can transfer all of your .co.uk domain names to us FREE OF CHARGE. You don't even need to buy any of our services to benefit from this amazing offer.

When is uPlugged Open?

We are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We also provide an online support service where you can submit support requests 24/7.

How long will it take for you to build my website?

One of the first questions we are asked when talking to new customers is "how long will it take to produce my website".. As each project we complete is designed with the customer’s specific requirements and deadlines in mind, this can make it difficult to provide a general time scale without discussing your requirements first. We will always provide you with an estimated time scale for completion before you buy. This is clearly detailed in Stage One of the Design Process. There are a number of different things that have to be considered when discussing a possible date of completion such as:

• Have you registered your choosen domain? If not, is it available? Contact us and we will check the availability of your domain name. Alternatively, check our domain name checker on our Web Hosting website to check now.
• Have you decided on a Hosting Package and is this suitable for the site you require?
• How many pages will be required?
• How complex your requirements are - For example, assuming you have all the required content in electronic format, including text and pictures, a basic 4 page website could be completed in approximately 2 to 5 working days. This will also depend on your availability to approve designs.
• Will your website need to be database driven? If so, we require additional time (compared with HTML Websites) to build and test the database and website functions.
• Will you require us to complete any Graphic Design?

These are just some of the main points we will need to consider before giving you an estimated completion date. We do offer a fast track system to get your website online although there may be additional costs involved and is subject to availability.

Can I be sure my Data will be kept secure?

uPlugged is Registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. We follow a strict Policy to ensure our customers information is kept safe at all times. We do not sell, rent, share or use your information other than to process your orders and maintain your account.

Is uPlugged Registed with the Information Commissioners Office?

Yes. uPlugged employs a State Registered Data Protection Officer. All the information regarding your account is kept confidential at all times. This includes all information shared with us regarding your business and business activities.

Can I get a quote online?

No, not yet, but we're working on it. We are currently developing a new online control panel that will give you access to our online system.

How long will it take to produce a quote?

We aim to produce quotes within 4 hours during normal office hours although we recommend you allow for up to 24 hours. Depending on how busy our office is and how complex your requirements are, an estimate can be produced within 1 hour. We will follow this up with a complete quote within 24 hours.

If I request a quote during the weekend, will I get it within 24 hours?

Although our staff are available at weekends, you may experience a delay in requesting a quote at the weekend. We estimate that 9 times out of 10 quotes requested at the weekend are still produced in less that 12 hours.

If I experience a technical problem, can I call uPlugged?

Yes. Assuming you are a customer of uPlugged and your website was built by us, simply call us on the number provided and our staff will take the details of your call and forward them to the relevent member of staff.
